Saturday 6th november

Seven years ago, my friends Kathy and Joe from Salt Lake City visited Switzerland. Now on the way back from a trip to India they stayed with me for same days.
The weatherforecast for the northern part of Switzerland was rather bad. Snowfall to 1500 m was forcasted. So we decided to drive to the Tessin for a hike.
On Monte Tamaro we found perfect trails, nice weather and Nemo's brother.
The ascent from Rivera to Alpe Foppa was easy going - we took the gondola. We followed the cresttrail to Monte Tamaro 1962m. On top we had an interesting conversation with an Italian who worked for Dow Chemicals at India thirty years ago.
The descent took us throuth Pian Cusello and Monti di Mezzovico to the trainstation at Mezzovico. Unfortunately Karhy twisted her ankle twice on the way down. So she suffert quite a lot of pain on the way back to "civilisation".
